This is the tale of of two women who take cover together because of the war. Noa is young and  running away from her mistakes with a German soldier. Along the way she finds a boxcar full of babies and decides to take one, not really knowing what she is getting herself into. All she knows that she is just trying to fill a void. Astrid is a women in her mid life. She is also running away from her life but for different reasons. Both of these women have to make the best of what is handed them and be in the circus at the same time. Astrid is from a circus family and knows all the hardships of show life, but she takes Noa under her wing to teach her the art of being an aerialist. This is a very light hearted WWII story that is more about friendship than war.
