Off the Beaten Path is hosting a very special engagement featuring author Amanda Padoan and special guests Eric Meyer and Chhiring Dorje, survivors of the infamous K2 climb that took the lives of 11 climbers.
We will be discussing the new book, BURIED IN THE SKY (co-authored by Amanda Padoan & Peter Zuckerman, on shelves NOW). The book tells the story of the 2008 tragedy on K2 when 11 climbers died. Amanda will appear with Eric Meyer and Chhiring Dorje, both survivors of that now infamous climb. Our featured guests will talk about the history of mountaineering and of K2 in particular, as well as of course talking about what went wrong during the 2008 tragedy.
