Walk Your Beast for the BOOK Feast - Fundraiser

On Saturday, June 23, get ready to walk your beast for Book Feast!
10 am Beast Walk
$5 per beast *Includes dogs, cats, lizards, birds, your child, your husband, etc (live or stuffed). Each beast must be leashed. The walk starts at the Library parking lot along the Yampa River. The designated beast-walk course will go along the core trail for a 5K out and back walk.
11 am Doggy Beauty Pageant on the Library Lawn

Cutest/Ugliest Best Beast (non-dog) Best Coat
Youngest/Oldest Fattest/ Fittest Best Smile
Curliest Hair / Lack of Hair Best Superhero or Sidekick Best Singer / Talker
*Food donations for both human and dog will be welcomed and sold at our food table with all the proceeds going to the Book Feast.
*Heeling Friends will also sponsor an agility contest on Library Lawn.
All proceeds go to the Children’s Book Feast to be held on September 8, 2012. Book Feast will feature renowned kid’s book authors and illustrators, who will lead dynamic presentations and workshops for kids of all ages. Featured authors include Brandon Mull, Ingrid Law, Avi, Sneed Collard, Janet Stevens, and Caroline Stutson! There will also be performances by hilarious storyteller, Bonnie Phipps, and the Buntport Theater Group. Special Skype visits from fabulous but far-away authors will include Dan Gutman and others!
Participation in this event and any additional monetary donation will directly support the visiting authors and help to ensure possible Book Feasts in the future! Book Feast is brought to you by Bud Werner Library, Steamboat Springs School District, Steamboat Springs Art Council, and Off the Beaten Path Bookstore.
