Poetry Slam - January, 2009

Dreams seemed to dominate the poetic theme as 35 people crowded into Off the Beaten Path for the first Poetry Slam of 2009. Ten poets competed and were complemented by a guest poet reading for her first time, and by a poem contributed by the winner of the November 2008 Poetry Slam and Master of Ceremonies for the night, Adam Gregory. Wine, coffee and desserts flowed almost as freely as the verses, and a rousing good time was had by all as the judges searched for the best poems, and poets, of the night.
