I’ve always been obsessed with dragons and everything magical so, when I discovered this book as a child, I immediately fell in love. With just the right amount of wholesomeness and suspense, 9-year-old me couldn’t put it down! The story follows five young dragons who have been raised knowing that their one purpose is to fulfill the dragonet prophecy and unite the warring dragon tribes by choosing the next queen of Pyrrhia. But when one of them is threatened, they decide to risk it all and escape the cave they had been kept in their whole lives. Will they choose to abandon their part in the prophecy with their newfound freedom? Or will they continue to fight for the future of their cruel world? A great read for all ages, the Wings of Fire series has a very special place in my heart and I truly enjoyed reading it again.
