Mark Richardson returns to his old high school with the hope of turning around a losing program. To do so he has to overcome a devastating injury to his best player, tension between two of his stars and the negative attitudes of players who are used to losing.

Myles Phillips, the quarterback, is the leader of the team but his mind isn't always on football. He has another dream. When Myles closes his eyes, he hears music, has a guitar in hand and sees himself singing before cheering crowds. Neither his father, his best friend nor his coach understand but the dream remains.
