Daughter of the Storm: A Maps Private Value Thriller (Maps Private Value Thrillers #2)

Steamboat author Alden Globe has published his follow up to Daughter of the Cloud, Daughter of the Storm. In the first installment, Rave Maps employs her skills as a value engineer to address artificial intelligence. In the follow up, Maps employs her skills to shed light on climate change. Perhaps the most notable aspect of Daughter of the Storm is there is a scene that takes place in Off the Beaten Path! (p. 83) A literary first, as far as we know!

Globe’s second in the series has an engaging narrative that clearly emphasizes the climate change message and allows for better character development of the main characters we met in the last book – Rave Maps, Mait Orleans, and Kate Tong. He’s also introduced a villain, Bellony LeMarque, who is well drawn and is used effectively with the protagonists.
