Description

The world of Gil's Grimoire... it calls to mind monsters, madness, magic, and mayhem, and just a bit of zaniness. A little tiny bit. Did you read "Two Zeros and The Library of Doom " and want more from this wild world? Well, dear reader, you've come to the right place. "The Zeros and The Man Who Could Not Die" is the true beginning of Gil's Grimoire, or at least as far as our hero Dylan is concerned. Be with him for his interview and on-the-job training (now with more zombies ), a mind-bending tutorial as he learns the surprising truth about our world (a what? a multiverse did you say?), and discovers firsthand that there are many perils waiting for us in the shadows (no spoilers here, sorry ). Soon after teaming up with fellow Zeros Gil and Finch, Dylan and the gang receive their first case together: a young woman in trouble. Enter Willa Bascombe, a woman stricken with premonitions, terrible visions of a murder... her own murder, in fact. And at the hands of her darling husband, nonetheless Rife with evil monsters, otherworld magic, undead revenants, political machinations, strange science, obligatory vampires, and plenty of camp, "The Zeros and The Man Who Could Not Die" is the first full-length novel of Gil's Grimoire.

About the Author

Eric Bonkowski lives in Delaware. He is inspired daily by Saturday afternoon cliffhanger serials, classic comics and comic strips, and horror films of the '30s and '40s--to say nothing of mystery, fantasy, and science fiction pulp writings of every age. He spends his time reading, watching campy movies, and writing, supported all the while by his remarkable wife and family. During the rare quieter moments, he can be found listening to jazz and falling asleep well before bedtime.
